This is particularly important when a eulogy is delivered at a funeral; whether by a relative, clergy or celebrant, there is quite often disappointment if it does not do justice to the person whose funeral it is.

Zoe’s story
That’s me in the video releasing a butterfly at my grandad’s funeral. I will always treasure the time I spent with grandad. The wonderful hours we spent reading, fishing and going to the football will always be remembered. I know grandad lived a life of significance; he lived a life that mattered.
But now that the funeral is over, I can’t help but think that the real significance of grandad’s life will never be told. Grandad never shared or recorded his life story for us before he passed away. Now that he is gone, it’s too late to put the missing pieces of his life together. Sadly the life he lived will always remain a mystery to me. Zoe.
